Last month, I had my first live concert since before the pandemic! I wanted to share songs that I had loved my whole life and that were high energy – Motown fit the bill! This is my favorite Four Tops song, and I immediately thought of it for my live show. I tried to honor the spirit of the original while still giving it the ol’ Luke electronic chamber pop treatment. I had so much fun with it and decided to record a studio version as well! Hope you guys love it.
Closing out Pride month with one of my favorite songs. ❤️🏳️🌈
Hearing the Lt. Governor of Illinois, Juliana Stratton, and the state’s top LGBTQ radio host, Jonny Gray, rave about my work today on Illinois’ Got Talent was unreal. I am so honored and humbled. I did not win the audience vote, but the response from the judge’s panel was exactly what I needed. I face a lot of doubt and insecurity about my work (as I think most artsits do), so getting their feedback meant the world to me. Thank you to all who supported me and the well wishes. I’m so thrilled I got to be a part of it!!!
Bea Arthur has something to add about this whole “cheugy” nonsense. (apparently this emoji is cheugy) Watch here: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeWmC4uk/
It was time to have some of my best impressions in one place 😉 There may be some in here you never saw (or forgot about)! Enjoy!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJcsiiKWcl8
I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a finalist in Illinois’ Got Talent – an LGBTQ talent event sponsored by the largest pride organization in the state – Equality Illinois. Artists from all over Illinois submitted for this, but only 7 were chosen. I am among great company and am so honored to have been chosen to represent Central Illinois. The grand prize is $500 and the event will take place June 5th at 11am. Full press release here: https://www.equalityillinois.us/2021/05/pride-2021-illinois-got-talent-finalists/
Check out my new impressions of the amazing Fraggle Rock muppets Mokey and Wembley! There are many more where these came from – after all – this is the show that turned me into a wannabe voice actor as a child (a dream that came true!!). Stay tuned – more to come. Enjoy!
My life has been hectic lately, but I wanted to share my cover of “Everlasting Love” from one of my latest streaming shows. I love this song, and it’s the kind of classic confection that just brings a smile to your face. May it bring you some joy! 🙂
2021 is almost here, and this song feels appropriate. A Paula Abdul classic about the promise a new day can offer – or in this case a new year. Enjoy!
